서울, 대한민국 –카마라타 뮤직 컴퍼니의 합창단과 오케스트라가 연주하는 멘델스존의드라마틱한 오라토리오 ‘엘리야’가 5월 5일, 토요일, 저녁7시 30분‘정동제일감리교회’에서 열린다 (34-3 정동, 중구 (시청역)).
Under the direction of Ryan Goessl(라이언게슬), the CMC Chorale & Orchestra will be joined by soloists, Soprano MyungSung Han (한명성), Alto Allison Pozdol (엘리슨포즈돌), Tenor SeungGakRyu (류승각), Bass SeungSeungWook (성승욱), with Soprano Rachel Tibai (레이첼티바이) and Boy Soprano JaeWon Choi (최재원).

이번 ‘엘리야’ 공연은 CMC의 10번재 정기공연이다.
The story of Elijah is told in the books of 1 Kings and 2 Kings in the Old Testament. Israel has turned from God, and a continuing drought threatens the nation. God sends the prophet Elijah to turn the hearts of the people back toward God and restore the land. The drama of the story, plus Mendelssohn’s beautiful music has earned “Elijah” a place as one of the most popular oratorios ever composed.
오라토리오 ‘엘리야’는 구약성경의 열왕기상과 열왕기하에 등장하는 선지자 엘리야의 이야기이다. 이스라엘이 하나님을 떠난 뒤 계속되는 가뭄으로 나라 전체가 고통받을 때, 하나님은 그들의 마음을 하나님께로 돌리고 이스라엘을 회복시키기 위해 선지자 엘리야를 보낸다. 이야기의 극적인 구성에 멘델스존의 아름다운 음악이 더해진 ‘엘리야’는 많은 오라토리오 중에서도 특히 사랑받고 있다.

Sat 10:00pm David Bowie tribute concert comes to DGBD

Damnear David and The Reality Tourists will make a very rare appearance at Hongdae's DGBD this Saturday night. Beyond playing a wide range of tunes spanning David Bowie's extraordinary career, the eight piece group recreates the full experience of a prime seat at a Bowie concert circa 2004. Their debut show last November drew responses like "incredible", "absolutely rocked my socks off", "more Bowie than Bowie", and "the best show I've ever seen in any club in Seoul - period". Admission is 5,000 KRW at the door only - there are no advance ticket sales. Opening the show is excellent Beatles tribute band Magical Mystery Four. Club DGBD is near the SangSangMadang building in Hongdae, a short walk from Sangsu or Hapjeong stations. Doors open at 10pm, Saturday May 19.

Recent Supreme Court decisions in the first quarter of 2012 have lent clarity to important concepts of employment law. In particular, Hyundai Motor lost its case in the Supreme Court defending its use of outsourced suppliers, resulting in a massive unexpected liability to employ as its own employees the workers of the outsourced supplier. The Moderators will discuss these latest decisions and explain the business impact from the CEO's top-level perspective. Topics will include:
* How to avoid the critical risk of outsourced functions of your business creating employment liability to the outsourced workers
* Understanding how to apply the concepts of "ordinary wage" and "average wage" and the compensation obligations therefrom
* Plan for amendments of company Work Rules to avoid unintended consequences of bonus payments
