Sun Mee Chomet had a recurring dream when she was young. In it, she was making a charcoal drawing of her mother. But like many other adoptees who grow up away from their birth families, she wasn’t able to make the face whole.
“I would wake up and I couldn’t see what the face looked like,” she says.
Years later, she took a journey that would eventually help her fill in the blanks, which culminated in her reuniting with her birth mother in 2009.
